House with Geometric Style

I was very lucky last week to be given the opportunity to photoshoot and have a personal tour of  a very beautiful home in the suburb of Rose bay in Sydney.

The clients along with their beautiful 2 year old daughter, have put in alot of energy, time, love and their own unique personal touch to create what I would call a stylish, warm and modern abode.

The house was originally blonde brick internally and externally, archways wherever possible, and tiles that werent so flattering to the eye…As the clients did not agree with the current aesthetic situation, they decided to refurbish the space inside out.

Plastering and painting all walls white immediately opened up and made the space appear fresh and spacious. In addition, Introducing a variety of grey tones ,asian influenced geometric prints and natural finishes, such as wide timber board flooring dramatically changed their home from what they started with.

My Favorite Element of the house is the front powder room. The curved wall in the hallway is shaped by  the original architecture and is reflected on the internal side of the bathroom where the clients have placed a cylindrical free standing basin, which they have clustered completely in mosaic. The clients chose NOT to plaster or remove the brick yet painted it white on the hallway side.  Geometric linear wallpaper completely lines the walls of the powder room with a custom pendant cantilevered below the skylight giving all-day natural light beaming from the stunning ceiling feature

One thing I love about this couple, is that they arent afraid to express their taste and make decisions that are out of the norm, How cute is their daughters room! I know I would love this as a little girl.

  3. Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I as well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything. Do you have any suggestions for rookie blog writers? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

    • Wow, Thank you for such kind words! I really wouldn’t call myself a ‘rookie blog writer’.
